I’m not saying that we don’t need goals to motivate and inspire us to take action, but the achievement of our goals is not the only thing that determines our happiness. We have been conditioned to believe that external things are responsible for creating our happiness, but this illusion of happiness is far from true. As long as you believe that your happiness is associated with something that is outside of yourself, you will not be happy. Do you sacrifice your happiness for success? If so, I’m here to share the reasons why this is a bad idea. Success is not a reflection of happiness. Rather, how happy you are is the truest measure of success.
